Lambing has brought an exciting start to the year at Whitfield, with a combination of proven genetics and new bloodlines giving us plenty to look forward to as this year's lamb crop develops.
The season began with the arrival of our embryo lambs, including embryos from Whitfield Double Act sired by Angus, alongside embryos from Whitfield Paparazzi sired by Bombastic.
These matings bring together genetics that have already proven themselves within the flock, and we are particularly excited to see how these lambs develop over the coming months.

Embryo lambing was followed by the main flock, with the majority of our ewes lambing to Deiniol Dewi. Dewi introduces an exciting new line into the Whitfield flock and we are looking forward to seeing the influence he has on this year's crop.
A smaller selection of ewes were also put to our homebred ram Whitfield Extra Act, continuing some of our established Whitfield bloodlines into another generation.
Whitfield Extra Act
With lambing now complete and a promising crop of lambs on the ground, we are really pleased with what we have seen so far. There is a long way to go as the lambs grow and develop, but it is always an exciting time of year to begin assessing the next generation.
Combining new bloodlines with some of our most proven Whitfield genetics gives us plenty to look forward to for the future of the flock.
