Yorkshire Show 2024

The 2024 Great Yorkshire Show was one to remember for the Whitfield flock, with Whitfield Double Diamond taking the Kerry Hill Breed Championship before going on to win the Overall Sheep Interbreed Championship.

Double Diamond, a shearling ewe, had already had an outstanding show season, having been awarded Breed Champion at the Royal Highland Show and Reserve Female Champion at the Kerry Hill Sheep Society National Show earlier in the year.

To then take the Overall Sheep Interbreed Championship at the Great Yorkshire Show was a fantastic achievement and a very proud moment for the flock.

The Great Yorkshire Show brings together some of the very best sheep from across the country, so to see a Kerry Hill stand at the top of the Interbreed competition was particularly special. With strong competition across the sheep classes, it was a brilliant opportunity to showcase the breed alongside other established breeds.

Winning at such a prestigious agricultural show is always a memorable experience, but seeing a Kerry Hill take the overall Sheep Interbreed Championship made the 2024 Great Yorkshire Show a particularly special one for us.
